Minga means coming together.
Minga comes from an Andean tradition of people coming together around a shared purpose, each contributing their own knowledge, skills, and perspective.
That same spirit shapes our collective: independent practices, shared effort, different perspectives, one purpose. We believe what we create together can be greater than what any of us could create alone.
The Large Little Collective
Independent practices. Shared purpose.
Minga brings together three independent landscape architecture practices, each with its own identity, experience, and point of view.
We remain independent while choosing to work collectively, sharing ideas, resources, and expertise to expand what we can offer our clients and the communities we serve.

Landscape Architecture + Design
Ground Collaborative brings a thoughtful, design-driven approach to landscape architecture, shaping places through creative exploration, strong design thinking, and attention to how landscapes are experienced. Within Minga, ground strengthens our collective approach to design and placemaking.
Culturally Responsive Design + Community Engagement
Studio Siembra roots design in the people and communities a place serves. Through responsive design and inclusive community engagement, the practice connects community voices with the design process to create landscapes that reflect local needs, identities, and aspirations. Bringing to Minga responsive design, community engagement, and community-centered thinking.
Universal Design + Accessibility
The Landscape Nerd Studio brings an accessibility-centered perspective to landscape architecture, considering how people of different ages, abilities, and experiences interact with the built environment. This approach helps Minga integrate universal design into the process from the beginning, creating places that are welcoming, intuitive, and accessible to more people.

Our Approach
Engagement is not a step in our process. It is how we design.
LISTEN → DESIGN → SHARE → LEARN → REFINE
At Minga, design, community engagement, and accessibility are not separate layers added to a project. They inform one another from the beginning.
Our collective approach creates more opportunities to listen, test, question, and refine ideas throughout the design process. By bringing different perspectives to the table early, we can respond more thoughtfully to the people, places, and communities each project serves.
We explore ideas through an iterative design process, moving between big-picture thinking and the details that shape how a place looks, feels, and functions.
Community: Meaningful participation that influences design.
We create meaningful opportunities for community voices to influence the design, building engagement into the process rather than treating it as a separate task.
Accessibility: Physical, cognitive, and sensory inclusion considered from the beginning.
We consider a wide range of bodies, ages, abilities, and experiences from the beginning, integrating universal accessibility into how spaces are imagined and designed.
Three perspectives. One conversation. Better places.
Design: Thoughtful landscapes rooted in place.
